This luxury spa exceeded my expectations in every way! From the moment I walked in, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, caring, and dedicated to creating a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Every detail, from the ambiance to the little treats they provided, contributed to an exceptional experience. One standout aspect was the expertise of the staff—they are not only highly skilled but also nurses, which gave me an added sense of trust and comfort. My scalp treatment left me feeling completely refreshed, and even though it’s a med spa, the iced coffee was outstanding! Overall, this was one of the best spa experiences I’ve ever had, and I can’t wait to return. Highly recommended!

I had high hopes for this place because the space looks beautiful and aesthetic, but unfortunately, the scalp treatment itself fell short. I’ve had scalp treatments in Asia and was expecting something similar—thorough scalp scaling, a relaxing head massage, and that refreshed, rejuvenating feeling. Instead, this experience was far too gentle, with no real pressure or hand technique. I got the 2 hr with facial. The technician was nice, but she had long fake nails, which made it difficult for her to give an effective head massage or facial. The treatment felt more like an extended shampoo session with various products and face masks applied on. It was almost 90 minutes of what felt like wet hair brushing, which became tedious to sit through. I even considered leaving halfway through. The only noticeable sensation was the minty Korean rosemary product sprayed on my scalp at the very end. Afterward, the front desk staff asked for my feedback, and I shared my honest thoughts. They explained that the products are strong and designed to clean the scalp and the technicians aren’t massage therapists, so massages are just an “added bonus.” While I appreciate the explanation, it didn’t match what I was expecting from a scalp treatment. That said, the space is well-designed, and it’s rare to find a service like this in LA. If they improved their techniques, they could do much better. I’ll give them +1 star for the nice blowout at the end, but overall, I probably won’t be back. I hope this review is helpful for others looking for an authentic scalp treatment experience. Edit in response to their reply: First, I don’t know the “David” you’re mentioning. Second, I never asked if the business was run by Koreans. My therapist actually mentioned that she and the team went out to an Asian spot—likely in the 626 area, which is mostly Chinese businesses—to try a head spa that had gone viral on TikTok, for research purposes. There was no “shift in demeanor” as you suggested, just an understanding that this scalp service was likely added to capture some of that viral social media traction. I’m not sure what you typically advertise, but this review is simply to add to others’ research so they can manage expectations. I have never left a scalp spa with wet hair before—in fact, other establishments have even included a haircut and a full blowout. Regarding the nails, you can clearly see in the first picture I attached that they were quite long for a scalp massage by my standards. Readers can judge for themselves. The unfortunate part is, I wasn’t even expecting a vigorous massage—just a bit of pressure would have been great.

My daughter gifted me with an incredible treatment. It was absolutely amazing. Beautiful atmosphere and kind staff. Even though it is not local to me I’d be happy to drive the hour for a treatment. Alice was wonderful. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon. They even celebrated international woman’s day by giving each client a rose.

I visited Maison d’Emilie Hair Spa with my mom for Mother’s Day, and it completely exceeded my expectations. From start to finish, the experience was luxurious and calming. My scalp has never felt this clean—truly, I don’t even have the words to describe the freshness I felt afterward. The little touches made all the difference: the soothing face mask, the relaxing tea service, and a satisfying blow dry to top it all off. The products made my hair look very healthy. It was the perfect mother-daughter treat, and we both left feeling pampered and refreshed. Highly recommend for anyone looking to treat themselves (or a loved one) to an elevated hair and wellness experience. Can’t wait to go back! ♀️✨
