I had an amazing experience at Toudaotang Hair & Scalp Spa in San Diego! The staff was incredibly professional and welcoming. From the moment I walked in, I felt relaxed and well taken care of. Their traditional Chinese scalp treatment was not only soothing but also very effective—I could feel the difference immediately. My scalp felt clean, my hair softer, and I even felt more energized after the session. The ambiance is calming, and the facility is spotless and beautifully decorated. This is my first time trying out Hair and Scalp treatment, it was very cool experience! This brand is a very popular chain from China, they are everywhere in China and now in U.S. The staffs were trained abroad to work at here. For the treatment process, I experienced a 1.5 hr treatment, but they have multiple options - Firstly, they tested your hair & scalp’s health using a very high tech machine, and analyzed how is your hair & scalp’s health. Then they brought you to a nice cozy private room for the treatment. There are 3 steps for the Chinese herb treatment, one is Botox for the hair and scalp, second is to relieve your stress by using a messaging comb for your hair and scalp, the third is increase the blood circulation for the head. It was very relaxing and comfortable. After 3 steps, they will use a special conditioner to message your hair and use a nano plasma machine to let your hair absorb the nutrients. Then the staff will message your neck and shoulder before she brings you out of the room to the hair salon to comb your hair and massage the scalp again using their special machine and essential oils. At the end, she will brow dry your hair. It is very complex process but feeling so unique and professional. You can also enjoy their tea and snacks during the treatment. I highly recommend if you love this kind of oriental style massage and treatment. They have discount right now during their just opened days.

Since I had my hair permed and colored, my hair has become very oily within just two days. Recently, a new Tou Dao Tang chain opened across from 99 ranch. It was a good opportunity for me to give it a try. When entering the store, the staff would first check the condition of my scalp before and now, to see what problems it has. Then, they would lead me to a special room where there is a dedicated hair washing bed. After changing my clothes, the staff would first use three different tools for relaxation massage to help me feel more relaxed overall. Then, they would gently pour two special Chinese herbal waters onto my hair in a very gentle manner to start washing. While washing, they would also keep massaging. It was very relaxing and comfortable. I felt that all the meridians were unobstructed. Even the state of stress was relieved. Unconsciously, I actually fell asleep. When the staff told me it was done and I sat up, I didn't want the session to end because I was really enjoying this relaxed feeling. After the session, the staff would blow-dry my hair while infusing oxygen essence. In the state where the pores were open, oxygen and essence were injected to make my scalp cleaner, fresher and more comfortable, as if I could take deep breaths. It felt very clean. Finally, a scalp check was conducted, and you would notice that the accumulated keratin on the scalp was gone. The scalp became very clean and refreshing. I felt very comfortable. I recommend this place for those who need scalp cleansing and relaxation.
